Is Hyundai Ioniq 5 2022 worth buying?

Yes, 2022 is the perfect choice if you want something fast, comfortable, sporty and different. It really stands out with its unique features that are perfect for nerds, and we mean that in a good way. We’re obsessed, going to talk about PS5, PC Gaming, Elden Ring, House of Dragon, and more.

The standard range model runs things with a single electric motor that generates 168 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This model has a rear drive configuration. It gets about 220 miles of range.

You can choose trim levels with a larger battery pack that produces 225 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It has a range of 303 miles, which is about nine miles behind the Tesla Model Y.

Accordingly, the upgrade to the all-wheel drive system adds a second electric motor to the front axle. This option delivers 320 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque. It gets about 266 miles of range on a single charge.

The Ioniq 5 takes off from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Sport mode strengthens suspension and input responses for sporty performance. In addition, the engine sounds like a spacecraft preparing to enter hyperspace.

Additionally, the Ioniq 5 has a low center of gravity and plenty of grip to feel confident around sharp bends. It is very agile and easy to maneuver through tight city areas. But the steering could be a little tighter.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 has four regenerative braking modes. A stronger level causes the Ioniq 5 to stop faster. It may seem to slow down too soon once you take your foot off the throttle. It also has sponge brakes.

How is the technology in Ioniq 5?

2022 features incredibly unique ambient lighting. Illuminate the door panels and surround the speakers. Colors change based on your driving mode. For example, Sport Mode switches the color to bright red, and Normal Mode has a darker blue shade.

We were impressed with the 12.0-inch touch screen that resembles a Pip or an Idroid. Basically, it looks like the device a video game character would wear on their forearm. The graphics are attractive, and the menus have a convenient and intuitive layout.

In addition, the 12.0-inch digital instrument panel stands out from the crowd with its combination of retro graphics and modern functionality. The way the result of regenerative braking is presented is very elegant.

In addition, all controls for shifting driving mode and regenerative braking levels are conveniently located around the steering wheel. In other vehicles, the modes are accessed via menus or buttons on the center console.

We still have more to learn about the Ioniq 5. Stay tuned for a full review covering the pros and cons.
