6 Things the Hyundai Ioniq 5 Gets Right We’ve spent a lot of time in electric cars like the Ford F-150 Lightning, Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and Ford Mustang Mach-E. But the Ioniq 5 is the most unique option because it does things differently. See how the game changes.

6 Things the Hyundai Ioniq 5 Gets Right

Six Features That Make Hyundai Ioniq 5 the Best SUV

We just spent a week with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited 2022 all-wheel drive, and we hope it never ends. Learning everything we could about the Ioniq 5 versus the competition was a great experience.

He gets to rest properly. The seats are large and well padded for hours of support. It can fit people of all shapes and sizes with plenty of power tuning controls (with limited bezels, at least).

It has a smooth ride on rough surfaces and keeps road noise and wind in place for a quiet ride. Heated and ventilated seats are strong and efficient. It is available with a heat pump, which is more powerful than conventional heating systems.

In addition, the dual-zone climate control makes everyone happy. The front seats have a built in footrest that you can use to relax. The seats recline quite far, creating the perfect place to sleep.

Also, the rear seats are well padded as well. They are just as comfortable as the front seats with comfortable rear angled bolsters. Two adults can fit comfortably with the ability to stretch.

3. Ioniq 5 gets the right charging technology

You push the door from the rear taillights to access the Hyundai Ioniq 5’s charging port. At first, we didn’t like how it was in the back rather than the front, but the charging cables are long enough to reach.

Once the charger is connected, a sound appears, “Charging session started.” There is no guesswork, and you can walk away with confidence.

Additionally, the charging port has five rows that show you how much the Ioniq 5 is charging. You can see it from inside your home and across the parking lot. You don’t have to pull out your phone, access an app, or sit in the car to get a charging update.

4. The 2022 Ioniq 5 is roomy

The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 has benefited from its own cargo space. It has a center console that can slide back and forth as needed. In addition, it has a huge cargo compartment between the front seats which is open and easy to access. Can fit book bags and more.

You will find plenty of storage trays and boxes around the compartment for your items. The wireless phone charging pad is conveniently located, and the door pockets are very spacious. Tons of cup holders are also available.

The doors open wide for easy access, and the tailgate is very wide. It has a low lift height to make it easier to load heavy and confusing items. Also, the rear seats fold flat.

You can access up to 27.2 cubic feet of luggage space behind the rear seats with up to 59.3 cubic feet in total. It’s bigger than you think.

5. The Ioniq 5 has an excellent design

We were impressed by how well the controls on the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 were. Everything is within easy reach and with great clarity. You can access specific menus in seconds and you don’t have to rely on a touch screen.

Also, the driving modes and regenerative braking modes are conveniently located on the steering wheel. You don’t have to look at the dashboard or around the center console to change the driving mode or regenerative braking level.

The infotainment screen shows you where the nearest electric vehicle charging station is, and a set of digital gauges provides eco-friendly training.

It will make you smile. It offers an excellent ambiance as a quiet and relaxing way. However, the comfortable seating, unique look and modern technology provide a positive and adventurous feel.

Ambient lighting revolves around the speakers and extends over the dashboard, the Bose audio system is immersive, the infotainment graphics are attractive, and the drive is confident.

You can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.7 seconds! The tires provide a great deal of stability around curves as the body is kept out of the way. Plus, the brakes are strong and predictable.

Put it in Sport Mode to make your daily commute more cool, or in Normal Mode to relax on the way home. The Ioniq 5 caters to your personal driving mood to provide the ultimate driving experience.
