The 2022 Audi Q5 proudly wears four rings to make it stand out from the competition. It offers excellent comfort and convenience features to battle competitors such as the Acura RDX and BMW X3. It has strong build quality and attractive performance.
It has all-wheel drive as standard across the entire range, which is an excellent feature. It should be able to handle snow and other slippery conditions just fine. It has a ground clearance of 8.2 inches which is suitable for climbing obstacles.
You can turn off the traction control system for more control around slippery curves, and it has Hill Descent Control. Off-road increases traction and braking responses to enhance stability.
The V6 can be equipped with a differential lock to provide more muscle in slippery conditions. However, our test machine’s engine sounded very loud and jittery while traversing slippery muddy trails and cobbled roads.

The 2022 Audi Q5 has a simple and elegant design. Dash is not crowded with buttons and controls. The spacious interior is attractive without being flashy or over the top. Pops of wood-grain trim cut large sections from the black upholstery.
Silver trim helps the interior pop, and the windshield provides plenty of visibility. The huge panoramic sunroof has a pleasant tint. The light can enter the cabin without being too bright. Overhead display directly without distraction.
The infotainment screen is a little out of the way, but it fits perfectly into the dashboard. The doors open wide for easy access, and the hands-free tailgate is a nice touch.
It provides a smooth ride, but Sport mode provides a sense of connection to the road. The engine is nearly silent, but you can hear a little wind and road noise at highway speeds.
4. The Q5 is all about customization
You can quickly customize the 2022 Audi Q5 to suit different driving modes. If you want more engagement, turn on dynamic mode and use motion shifters. Additionally, you can use Comfort Mode for a more comfortable ride. You can customize the single mode as well.
The digital instrument cluster has multiple layouts, and you can adjust how loud and built-in the car whistle sounds for you. Ambient lighting has multiple colors to choose from, and you can select up to three colors at once.
Both the digital gauge cluster and the infotainment system can display a 3D topographic map of your surroundings, and live traffic jams help you avoid delays. The digital rearview mirror displays your direction.
One of the most unique features is the insulated cup holder. You can keep a cold or warm drink for hours. I kept the shovel box completely refrigerated for three hours.
5. Q5 can have more space for passengers
It offers 25.85 cubic feet of passenger space with up to 54.06 cubic feet in total. Accordingly, it keeps track of the competition. But at least, the seats can be folded almost flat, and the height of the lever is convenient.
An average-sized adult will get plenty of room in the first row, but the back seat may feel cramped. About four adults can comfortably squeeze the Audi Q5.
There doesn’t seem to be much space for personal items. The center console, cup holders, door pockets and storage trays are shallow. There’s no good place for your phone unless you place it on the sliding center console tray, which can be frustrating to reach.
